Responsibilities
- Research and develop advanced alloys and coatings for high-wear loom components
- Design and execute material testing protocols — fatigue, wear, corrosion resistance
- Collaborate with the engineering team to translate material innovations into product improvements
- Publish internal technical reports and contribute to patent applications
- Stay current with academic research in tribology, surface engineering, and materials science
Requirements
- PhD or Master's in Materials Science, Metallurgy, or related field
- 3+ years of industrial R&D experience in metals, ceramics, or surface coatings
- Hands-on experience with SEM, XRD, and mechanical testing equipment
- Strong analytical skills and attention to experimental methodology
- Excellent written communication for technical reporting and patent drafting
Qualifications
- Experience in textile or precision manufacturing industries is preferred
- Published research in relevant journals is a strong advantage
