The AAS Tech story begins with a question that has driven our family for over two and a half centuries: how do you engineer things to work better?
In 1760, Jeevanji founded a family enterprise built on trust, discipline, and long-term vision. Across eleven generations, that enterprise evolved — from regional trade to precision manufacturing, from industrial metals to advanced engineering solutions.
Under AAS Tech, the parent company, this legacy of innovation found its most ambitious expression yet. In 2019, Nirav Ashok Shah — the 11th generation — founded AAS Tech as a dedicated platform for advanced textile engineering. The mission: to bring 266 years of manufacturing heritage into the future of weaving.

I was born into a family that has been building things for 266 years. Eleven generations of enterprise, of trust, of relentless pursuit of quality. When I founded AAS Tech in 2019, I wanted to channel everything our family has learned across centuries into a single, focused mission: to make weaving looms perform at their absolute best.
I studied Mechanical Engineering because I wanted to understand how things work. I launched R&D in 2009 because I wanted to make things work better. And with over 650 patents today, I can tell you this — we are only getting started.
The textile industry is at an inflection point. Mills are under pressure to produce more, faster, with better quality. The answer is not always buying new machines at $120,000 to $250,000 each.
